One month no sodas!
Did better in my Body Pump class last night. I managed to do all the chest presses and skull crushes without having to stop. They were a little shaky at the end, but I will take shaky over nothing! Plus I added an extra 5lbs for my dead lifts and rows. :)
Bought a measuring tape last Saturday… maybe I can see a difference in inches since the scale isn’t cooperating!
Today marks 1 month since I started going to the gym!
Thursday marks 1 month of no sodas!
Yay me!
Now… if could JUST LOSE WEIGHT!!

I watched parts (I was at work, couldn’t watch it all) of the Dr. Oz segment on this product and it sounded legit. I know everyone is different, but I hope I am the person this product works for. I’m about ready to try anything… I am tired of gaining weight (especially now that I exercise for 2 hours, three days a week AND have upped my water consumption). It’s supposed to take a while to notice any changes. I just started today… so we will see! Need to get a measuring tape and keep tabs on my measurements…
So my Dr had advised me after my first check up a year ago that I should start getting B-12 injections and taking fish oil to get my energy up. I did the shots as directed, but decided to start taking the B vitamins in pill form after about a month. I have often wondered why even though I am on meds for my hypothyroidism and taking b-vitamins (that are supposed to be an energy booster) and fish oil… I am still constantly tired by the afternoon. When I have hockey games after work, it’s all I can do to stay awake.. that’s not normal!!
So Friday I forgot to take all of my vitamins, and Saturday too, and realized I was not sleepy anymore. I feel as though it might be the vitamins that are making me sleepy!! Weird.
With that, I am just going to try and eat decently (not like a health nut, but just pay attention to what/how much I eat) and keep up with my exercising after work and just see where that takes me. There’s got to be an explanation for why I had continued to be tired all the time and maintaining/gaining weight. Time to try something different!
Day 19 with no sodas!
Went to my regular Wednesday night Zumba class. After an hour of that, the Les Mills Body Pump class was taking place in the same room. I have thought about taking it before, but was a little chicken because it’s a barbell class. I decided to stay for it though and I really enjoyed it! It was tough… shaking arms and all… but I didn’t jet out early and I feel great about doing it. If I can just add it to my normal Wednesday routine, I think it’ll help me lose weight and get in shape a little quicker. Just the confidence I feel about myself from taking a weight lifting class makes it worth-while.
I am a little sore today from it all, but not as sore as I thought I would be. Sorry muscles, it’s time to wake up and get in shape… you have been asleep for long enough!
Day 16 no sodas!
Weight is staying around the same… mid 160s. Frustrating… but it’s only my 3rd week of my new routine. It’ll happen for me :)
Last week, I only made it to the gym on 1 night. :( Monday I had a hockey game to go to and Friday I helped my sister get all of her stuff out of her old townhouse. Then the storms were supposed to come thru so I stayed home. I did get out on the driving range Sunday morning and hit a bucket of balls with Stuart… so I wasn’t a complete bum this weekend. :) Plus cleaning the whole house Sunday afternoon is a small workout in itself! So - new week, moving forward, forget last week!
I bought some Multi-grain Cheerios and oatmeal to keep at work for breakfast. I have GOT to get out of the habit of my daily Egg McMuffin. Yeah they’re only 300 calories so they’re not absolutely terrible for you, but.. 1 serving (1 cup) of Multi-grain Cheerios is 110 calories. 1 serving (1 packet) of my oatmeal is 130 calories. My Greek yogurt I have already had as a snack is only 120 calories per cup. So my breakfast foods win! (Plus I save money and I don’t feel like a fatty when I look at my bank statement)

Did a little Wii Fit… maybe 15 mins. Lost my motivation for the evening… so I think I will go to bed before I start getting hungry!
